Detailed introduction

In 2023, the General Office of the Jiangxi Provincial Government issued the "Work Plan for the Supervision and Management of Discharge Outlets into Rivers and Seas in Jiangxi Province," which clearly stipulated the need to establish monitoring and surveillance points for discharge outlets entering rivers within river basins and to install water-quality monitoring, flow measurement, and video surveillance equipment at these outlets into rivers and lakes. In August 2024, Qingdao Jiaming undertook the second phase of the standardized construction project for discharge outlets into rivers in Lianhua County, organized by the Lianhua Ecological Environment Bureau of Pingxiang City. This project, taking into account the existing distribution of water-quality monitoring and surveillance stations within the river basin, selected key discharge outlets, surrounding critical areas, and functional river sections to deploy water-quality and flow-monitoring stations as well as video surveillance systems. The project aims to strengthen the routine management of discharge outlets into rivers and promote a comprehensive, end-to-end management system covering the entire chain—from receiving water bodies to discharge outlets, discharge channels, and discharging entities. The project includes four container-type water stations, five pole-mounted micro-stations, four Doppler flow-measurement devices, and four intelligent discharge-monitoring systems. The primary parameters monitored at the discharge outlets include five water-quality parameters, COD, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus, and flow rate.
