Detailed introduction

In April 2022, Qingdao Jiaming undertook the laboratory capacity-building project for the water quality monitoring and quality control and emergency response platform (Phase I) of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, commissioned by the China National Environmental Monitoring Center. The project is being constructed in Jiangning District, Nanjing City, and involves the construction of a comprehensive laboratory building—primarily housing laboratories for water quality monitoring, quality control, and standard sample preparation—as well as associated facilities. Upon completion, the project will enhance the water quality monitoring and quality control capabilities along the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The laboratory area for preparing standard samples in the lab is dedicated to producing standard samples required for routine water quality parameters (such as permanganate index, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, pH, turbidity, conductivity, etc.). The entire production and preparation process—from raw material receiving and storage to manual weighing, dissolution and dilution, in-process quality control, automated packaging, automatic labeling, packaging, and distribution—is fully covered. Daily output must reach at least 5,000 units. The design concept for the experimental area should meet the requirements of intelligence, modularity, and standardization.

The automated water quality analysis experimental zone focuses on the automatic analysis of four conventional water quality parameters (permanganate index, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, and ammonia nitrogen). It covers the entire automated analysis process, including sample reception, temporary storage, transfer, sampling, pretreatment, analysis, quality control, data reporting, data visualization, and waste liquid disposal. The design concept of the experimental zone should meet the requirements of intelligence, modularity, and standardization.

This project helps the laboratory build a complete chain encompassing “precise sensing—data support—intelligentization—standardization,” providing a solid hardware foundation and technical assurance for enhancing water quality monitoring and quality control capabilities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
