Detailed introduction

In April 2025, in order to improve the ecological environment of the Yuexi River basin in Weiyuan County, optimize shoreline functions, and restore the river’s natural appearance, our company undertook the Comprehensive Ecological Management Project for the Yuexi River Basin in Weiyuan County, as well as the Ecological Restoration Project for its tributary basins, taking into account the actual conditions of the basin. The project primarily includes: an intelligent integrated management platform for water environments, the deployment and construction of automatic water quality monitoring stations, ecological restoration efforts, and an integrated laboratory for daily water quality testing and quality control.

(1) Intelligent Integrated Management Platform for Water Environment

The Intelligent Integrated Management Platform for Water Environment is a comprehensive digital management system supported by technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, and digital twins. It is designed for water environment management scenarios in river basins, cities, and other areas. Its core function is to achieve "comprehensive sensing, intelligent early warning, coordinated scheduling, precise governance, scientific decision-making, and efficient service" in water environment management, thereby driving a shift in water management from "passive response" to "proactive prevention and control" and from "experience-based decision-making" to "data-driven decision-making."

 

 

 

(2) Deployment and Construction of Automatic Water Quality Monitoring Stations

The automatic water quality monitoring stations continuously and automatically collect water body data around the clock and transmit the analysis results in real time, enabling dynamic monitoring of the water quality conditions in the monitored waters. The data is uploaded to the monitoring platform in real time. These stations are strategically located at key river discharge points, with a total of nine stations established.

 

(3) Ecological and Environmental Restoration

1. Construction Content and Scale: In the tributary watersheds of the Yuexi River located in Yuexi Town, Xiaohe Town, and Lianjie Town, Weiyuan County, we will construct approximately 4,540 square meters of ecological interception ditches, about 2,250 square meters of ecological grassed swales, roughly 25,100 square meters of ecological buffer zones, and rehabilitate approximately 6,520 cubic meters of sediment using ecological substrate restoration microbial agents—requiring around 55.42 tons of such agents. Additionally, we will develop approximately 24,520 square meters of ecological river channels, establish submerged plant communities covering about 20,000 square meters, create submerged animal communities spanning roughly 6,000 square meters, and install oxygenation and aeration systems totaling approximately 1,300 meters in length.

2. Construction Content and Scale: Approximately 3,310 meters of collection and transfer pipelines will be constructed in the Yuexi River basin within Yuexi Town and Xiaohe Town; about 10,800 cubic meters of sediment will be remediated and decomposed using ecological substrates, with approximately 91.8 tons of microbial inoculants applied; around 49,400 square meters of emergent vegetation will be planted; about 6 aeration machines and 12 aeration fountains will be installed; an ecological buffer zone covering approximately 12,000 square meters will be established; one set of MBR integrated treatment equipment will be provided; subsurface flow wetlands covering approximately 3,333 square meters will be constructed; two overflow wastewater treatment facilities will be built, including one overflow ecological purification pond covering approximately 1,640 square meters and one artificial wetland covering approximately 1,000 square meters.

(3) Integrated Comprehensive Laboratory

The Integrated Water Quality Comprehensive Laboratory is an all-in-one water quality testing platform that integrates sample pretreatment, multi-index detection, data quality control, and data analysis. Its core function is to enable efficient, standardized, and integrated operation throughout the entire water quality testing process. The laboratory can accurately measure a wide range of water quality indicators, including physicochemical parameters, microbiological components, heavy metals, and organic pollutants. It not only meets the standardized and high-throughput testing requirements for routine water quality monitoring but also allows for rapid response to emergency situations involving sudden changes in water quality. Moreover, it facilitates real-time recording, analysis, and traceability of testing data, providing scientific and accurate analytical support for water quality management, pollution control, and water safety assessment, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and scientific basis of decision-making in water quality management.
